Recently, the Midwest was slammed with one of the biggest winter storms since the 50s. A blanket of snow and ice covered Illinois, but Chicago Volkswagen Toureg drivers met the challenge of winter driving in their sports utility vehicles. Chicago VW Toureg enthusiast will see the same strength and endurance from the newly redesigned and exceptionally sleek 2011 model, which will be equipped with the continuation of the popular 4Motion permanent all-wheel-drive system, and a Touareg TDI diesel that is even more fuel-efficient than the previous model.
Some would think that a test drive following one of the largest snow storms in history would not be the best time, but Volkswagen welcomed the opportunity for me to experience what the Toureg had to offer. The 4Motion permanent all-wheel-drive system performed perfectly through the deep snow, and navigated flawlessly in and out of tight snowdrift covered parking lots and side street parking areas.
